Obi has spent numerous years studying both percussion and anthropology with a focus on the cultures and traditions of the Yoruba', Dahomey, and Kongo peoples and also in the spirtual traditions of Ifa and, continues in a personal persuit to document and maintain the historical and spiritual principals of these traditions.
