Believe and Succeed
February 19, 2008
We are all familiar with the story of the parting of the Red Sea. As the Hebrew children were leaving Egypt they found themselves with the sea on one hand and the Egyptian army on the other. They began to cry out to God and Moses heard God say “Why do they cry out to me? Exodus 14:15. It seems a strange question given their predicament. Perhaps it is explained by what followed. One fellow walked into the water up to his neck and only then the sea parted. Someone had to start. Someone had to show they were committed before the miracle could occur. Edgar Cayce, while in trance, was asked how a certain attunement could be brought about, He answered “Apply what you already know and the rest will be given.” How can we change the world around us? First comes commitment followed by application of the will and it always helps if you believe you will succeed.
