Yule

December 31, 2007

Yule was wonderful! The children's group made cookies that
were so well decorated and tasted great. We sang Pagan
Carols after the huge feast. I was so full from the
wonderful brownies, beef stew, pastas, breads, chicken, and
so much more.
The service was powerful. Because of the ice, we did not
use the sacred circle but remained near the buildings at
the upper fire pit. It was cold as I forgot to bring wood
inside to dry before trying to burn it (haha), but our
hearts and the energy of our circle gave us all that we
needed in the way of warmth. Our master drummer, Obi, lead
the chants and we lit candles from each other to bring
light into our lives. Rev Lynda and Rev John were our
officiating clergy and what a great job they did! The
Offering tree was decorated with handmade ornaments and
gifts for the Sun King. It was a great night. The next
celebration will be February 1st, Friday at 7PM so mark
your calendars.
